Assimilation Machines of the Future

In the future some futurists and Science Fiction Writers have discussed machines that can assimilate anything you want in the physical world from scratch. For instance, the machines would be loaded with the exact replica codes for every single atom and molecule in any "thing" and be able to duplicate it inside of a machine.

Since everything is made up of atoms, each type of atom would be stored separately in the device and pulled out when needed and placed where it was suppose to be. Obviously, it would take an incredible super computer some time to make all this happen, but it is theoretically possible and therefore some day in the future it will indeed be a reality. An assimilation machine you ask?

Yes, an assimilation machine, sure, these will be available someday, in fact, 3D Fax machines and CadCam 3D design software for making prototypes are well on the way. I was at a Trade Show in LA last year and wow the laser cutting systems hooked to a CadCam Program are cool.

So, the next step is merely the manipulation and assimilation, to duplicate, fax or create on the fly, it will be so, perhaps sooner than we know! kind of like the Star Trek meal making machine, whatever you order it makes from scratch for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Literally starting at the atomic level and working forward. Both Isaac Asimov and Arthur C Clarke, two celebrated science fiction authors have discussed these things at length in their novels, and it won't be long now. Think on it.
